Mount Zero, believers in sustainable fulfilling produce and farming

Another successful company who's made the switch to a sustainable and environmentally friendly way of packaging their homegrown produce. Mount Zero olive grove is Demeter certified bio-dynamic practicing a holistic and chemical-free approach to growing.

Mount Zero is a biodynamic (organic) certified olive grove on the edge of the Grampians / Wimmera regions in Western Victoria. We work with a number of lentil and grain growers in our region to curate a range of locally and sustainably grown pulses & grains

What made you change over to compostable material for your product?

We firmly believe that sustainable farming is only half the journey and that in order to live our values relating to sustainability our produce must be packaged in a sustainable fashion. We researched a number of different films and decided that compostable was the only option.

What made Compost Me’s product the right film for your company?

Compost Me's film was Australian certified "home compostable" and this was why we made the decision.

Have you noticed any difference between packaging with compostable films over plastic films?

Very little difference. Our packaging machine needs a little more tweaking from time to time, but it is well worth it.
